Solana memecoin rug signals, explained
Every read jeeTA returns is built from the same handful of on-chain signals. Here is what each one means, why it matters, and what to check yourself before you buy.
Liquidity, and who owns the pool
Liquidity is the money standing between you and a clean exit. jeeTA reads the pool size in dollars, the venue it sits on (Raydium, Orca, Meteora, Pump.fun-style bonding curves) and whether that liquidity is locked or held by a single wallet. A pool that is small, unlocked, or owned by the deployer is the classic setup for a pull: they remove the quote side, the price collapses to zero, and the chart becomes a vertical line down.
Holder concentration
The number of holders matters less than how the supply is split. jeeTA measures what the largest wallets control together. When the top ten addresses hold most of the supply, a handful of people decide the price of your position — and nothing stops them from selling into your buy. Healthy distribution is not a guarantee of anything, but extreme concentration is a reliable warning that you are the exit liquidity.
Insider clusters and sniper wallets
Fresh wallets funded from the same source and buying in the same block are not a coincidence. The address map groups wallets that behave together into clusters, flags known snipers that took supply at launch, and highlights whales large enough to move the chart on their own. These are the wallets to watch on solscan.io before you size a position rather than after.
Mint authority, freeze authority and supply
Two flags decide how much damage a deployer can still do. An active mint authority means new tokens can be printed at will and dumped on holders. An active freeze authority means your wallet can be frozen, so you cannot sell. jeeTA reports both, plus whether the supply is fixed, and it flags tokens whose own metadata admits to a previous rug.
Volume, age and the chart nobody trusts
Volume tells you whether anybody is actually trading, and age tells you whether the launch has survived its first hours. jeeTA reports both, then refuses to draw a price chart from feeds it cannot verify: for young memecoins, a confident looking candle chart is a story, not evidence. Read the numbers, open solscan, and check the wallets yourself.
Glossary of the flags jeeTA shows
Freeze authority active
highThe deployer can freeze specific wallets, which means you can be blocked from selling your own tokens while everyone else exits.
Check: Check the freeze authority field on solscan.io and confirm it is revoked.
Insider cluster
highA group of wallets funded from the same source and trading in step. They behave as one holder and usually leave together.
Check: Open the wallet on solscan.io and look at the first funding transaction.
Mint authority active
highThe deployer can still create new tokens out of thin air and sell them into the market. Your supply is not fixed, so the price can be diluted at any moment.
Check: On solscan.io, open the token page and confirm the mint authority is revoked.
Sniper wallets
lowBots that bought at launch, often in the first block. They hold cheap supply and their sell pressure caps every rally.
Check: Check the earliest transactions of the largest holder wallets on solscan.io.
Thin liquidity
mediumThe pool holds little money relative to the market cap, so even a modest sell order can move the price hard against you.
Check: Compare pool liquidity to market cap on the analyzer and on the DEX pool page.
Top 10 concentration
mediumThe ten largest wallets control a large share of the supply. A few addresses decide the price, and their exits become your losses.
Check: Inspect the holder table and click through the biggest wallets on solscan.io.
Unlocked liquidity
highThe pool's quote side can be withdrawn by a single wallet, which is the standard mechanics of a pull: liquidity disappears and the price goes to zero.
Check: Look at who owns the LP tokens and whether they are burned or locked.
Volume and age
lowVolume shows whether anyone is really trading, and age shows whether the launch survived its first hours. A quiet, minutes-old token is a coin flip, not an investment.
Check: Read the 24h volume and age in the header before opening a position.
